HI all I just braught my first mk1 Mr2

Hello i have just got my first mr2 i have wanted one since i could drive the only problem i have is i owned a e36 325i before and that was very quick now i am in the mr2 it just feels i guess a little slow acutely its very slow i was just woundering if there is any way of making it quicker :p i would appreciate if you could help thank you

Welcome along Pete, get some pictures up of your Mk1.

Try and get along to JAE in a few weeks, there is a good turn out of Mk1s there usually.

Re going faster.

The 4AGE engine was well engineered by Toyota and it is hard to extract any significant power gains. Most people do the usual exhuast and filter which will give you a very minor gain.

For significant power upgrades then it's all about the engine swaps, most commonly, 4agze (1.6 Surercharger) 3SGTE (2.0L Turbo) or there are a variety of V6 swaps.
