I assume all who are going are going with IMOC but I don't actually know who from the club is actually going. Just out of interest, put your names down if you are going.

I should be there tomorrow night all things going well. I'm in the middle of changing my head gasket. I built up the head and all of the inlet side yesterday. I would have got it pretty much complete were it not for my head gasket set not including a gasket for the oil feed/drain from/to the turbo. That should be arriving today and so I should be able to complete the below jobs after work tonight before the light fades (fingers crossed!):
Bolt up water bypass pipe
Bolt turbo to oil feed/drain using new gasket
Connect turbo coolant lines
Bolt exhaust manifold to turbo with new gasket
Bolt exhaust manifold to head
Bolt turbo support bracket on underneath car
Bolt exhaust manifold heat shield on
Bolt turbo heat shield on
Bolt downpipe on
Connect O2 sensor
Connect turbo and wastegate actuator vacuum/pressure pipes
Connect turbo air inlet feed pipe
Connect main water pipe to water junction
Connect water junction to head using new gasket
Bolt fuel line to water junction bracket
Plumb in and bolt on charge cooler
Connect cam cover to oil catch can pipe
Install charge cooler water temperature sensor
Connect dump valve
Solder on new alternator plug as old one was not in the best state
Bolt on alternator bracket
Connect power cable to alternator
Bolt in alternator and add belt then tension
Connect earth cable to alternator
Install new oil filter
Install coolant filler neck pipe
Install vacuum pipes to throttle body
Install HT leads
Install expansion tank
Check sump bolt is tight and dipstick tube is bolted tightly
Fit exhaust
Fill up engine coolant, charge cooler coolant and engine oil
Jack up back of the car and top up coolant again
Connect battery
Start car!
Bleed coolant system procedure
Check engine timing once warm
Check for leaks throughout
Pack stuff away and have dinner!
That all needs to be done in under 2 1/2 hours ideally, lol!
It's currently looking like this:

See you all this weekend!

Bugger, bugger, bugger! Toyota didn't deliver the gasket, so I'm out :(
It's coming tomorrow now and even if everything went perfectly I'd be arriving at JAE at 11pm at the earliest.
To rub it in I got my sister to post my ticket to Sheffield via special delivery and I also turned down Paralympics tickets to go to JAE.
At least I won't have to rush it on Saturday now!
Have a good time everyone.
Anyone in Sheffield that wants a ticket to JAE, get in touch. Any money's will be welcome.
Cheers,
Tom

Hi everyone.
If by chance anyone sees a nice MK1a (black bumper) for sale at the show, please can you pass their details my way via this site. ESPECIALLY if there is a nice electric blue one ;-)
Cheers
