Is there somewhere in the UK where you can get this seal? It is for a customer in the UK, and i just want to pass the details onto him. He has found them in the US for $45 for the full seal kit including glue.

To be honest Neil thats a good price and he wouldn't have to pay tax on that plus if they are new they won't have shrunk. I was looking at the profile of the seals and its the same as the VW golf clipper kit uses, there is a place in the USA that makes new seals for them and sells it by the yard. Have you tried a double glazing company as there is also a window seal that is very similar to the mr2 seal. I'll have a full set that I will part with but not till christmas when my side skirts will be ready and I can remove the factory side skirts. Problem with the seals on most of the cars nowerdays it they are old and have gone brittle and shrunk so they look poo. Best bet is send him to a double glazing specialist with a sample to match the profile. Hey if you go yourself you could buy a roll cut them to the correct length and flog them on as complete sets

Thanks lads. I will pass the link onto Lee. I have got some seals her on side skirts, but they have gone hard and they are not great, and Lee is doing a full restoration on his MR2, so i don't want to send him some not perfect one.
Thanks again.

when i click on this link it says:
you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1.Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2.If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Do i need to be a full member to access the shop?
Is there any other places i could get these seals like ebay?

Why dont you just become a full member its only a tenner? If you were to buy them off ebay they are about £20 more expensive than the club shop. You can buy them from America but by the time you add postage and import duty its far more expensive. Just look at the Jimi bracket buy off Jimmi and its £15 posted buy off ebay and they are £25 makes sense to buy off ebay NOT. If you become a full member you can also get the tech advise you might want as the technical adviser on her knows far too much about MR2's plus the experiance of so many members on here who have owned and maintained their own cars for decades. You could aways use double glazing seals but it looks kak compared to the o.e. seal but if your cars not a nice one just go that route but if you want your car mint become a full member.

Hi Kieran,

If you can wait a couple of weeks, the club shop should be back online again. We've been having a bit of a re-shuffle behind the scenes.

You will have to be a paid member to make a purchase from the club shop, but this only costs £10 per year! :) It gives you access to loads of events and more technical resources and a greater personal message allowance on the forum also.

Thanks in advance for your patience.

Cheers,
Tom

You don't get done on import tax from the States on everything Dave. I didn't get done for the $146 worth of ARP bolts I bought, but did on the $103 of metal head gasket :/

I've just had an alternator and voltage regulator from Texas, and also didn't get any import tax whacked on top of either.

My bits both came Fed Ex - expedited service, wasn't cheap but came by courier all the way to the office, not the final stage being done by parcel farce. Maybe that's the trick?
