Engine and Gearbox

Here I have my engine and gearbox out of my MK1.

Engine in good working order done approx 100,000 miles, removed from car as putting a turbo engine in. Had oil and filter changes every 3000 miles, painted cam covers. No over heating issues. Complete engine with auxiliaries, ecu and wiring loom, also will throw in the alternator which has stopped working, may be a simple fix?? not sure??

Gearbox in good working order, no fifth gear issues at all.

Comes with the stainless steel covers.

K and N filter not for sale with the engine but if someone wants it for £30 plus postage let me know.

£300 for the pair collected, not sure what postage would be but could be arranged.

Yeah I'd collect it - got a PUG 206 now so anything can go in that :)

I sold and engine and box for £150 (130hp engine) 9 months ago, so £50-75 - it has to have no slipping gears, no crunching, no nothing out of the ordinary.

The gearbox was perfect no issues at all, no fifth gear issues.

When were you thinking of collecting? I was hoping for £100 for the box really.

Hi Beckie,
As this is part of my rebuild I’ll wait until a cheaper one comes along. Sorry to have caused inconvenience but not prepared to pay £100 when they are on eBay for 99p sometimes. I’ll give it a miss, thanks anyhow.
