Only one place left! Really looking forward to this now, so much so I polished up the "old girl" last Saturday thinking the drive was Sunday 7th!! Glad I checked the forum before I went to bed; it's a long way to Chester! Still, she's looking so white now she'll blend in well with the snow and the sheep!

Really looking forward to this run. I've got myself a cheap-o iphone holder for the windscreen so will hopefully get some good videos. Looks like the weather is going to naff though. My engine lid still has no rain guards (had to chop them off during the swap) which is a little concerning. Might have to get the bin bags out when we're pulled up.

Poor little car.
It could be something really simple like a blown fuse or relay, so could still make it but it is looking unlikely.
I can always turn up in the Aygo, but you lot wouldn't keep up....

I'm going to have pull out as well, been out all day and won't be home until after 11, so a 6.30 start isn't ideal. Have a safe trip everyone, and see you all soon!

Good to see everybody today.
Made it home - 397 miles door to door - a good day out despite the wet start. A huge thanks to Bill for organising and leading (except for the bit where he thought he would get lost)!
A big shame we ended up with only five cars.

I'm back too! 378 miles door to door. Great day out with some stunning scenery and fantastic roads. Second what Graham says, big thanks to Bill and although it was wet in the morning, I think it added to the experience! Anyway it cleared up after dinner and the blast back towards Chester was thrilling!
Thanks all for a great day out, looking forward to the peak run

I tried to convince mrs b it was a great idea for her to drive the run today and I would go shotgun but in reality I couldnt even get into the picasso let alone the mk1 :-(

14th April 2013, 10:34 PM
to correct Gary 4 quick drivers today - I don't know why but I struggled to keep up. I certainly was not being a sunday driver but couldn't quite get it together. I think the morning rain unsettled me a bit - I cant remember the last time I was out in the MK1 in proper rain!
