Just spotted this, to be honest it looks a bit dodgy to me UK rear lights suggests a rear end shunt, the rust looks pretty bad and the gearbox sounds rough but it might be of interest to someone.

£1500 for that ? he's having a laugh, even if it is a genuine SC, even a £1000 would be pushing it

I wonder if it is a genuine SC, those rear lights are a bit of a mystery. I agree with you Jimi, £1000 maximum with a dodgy gearbox and rotten body.

I just saw this as well, didn't notice the rear lights until you mentioned it.
Its a bit of mess - you could sell the engine for about £800 as long as it's fully working but the rest could be scrapped.

I noticed the rear lights as well and also there are no photos of the engine bay. The main difference between an n/a and an SC is the engine and yet no photos....
Also the line:
"Toyota produced these for the JDM (Japanese domestic market) from about 87 to 90 so there are not many found in Europe and most of those have the automatic gearbox which takes the fun out of it."
I only know of one Auto SC and about 15 manual ones. It could be that it is true but seems odd that my sample is the opposite. Especially as it is rumoured there are only about 200 SC in the UK.

There is a photo of the engine bay - not that you can see much in there.

There are loads of auto SC's about but obviously they are not the car of choice for many people, I suspect if people imported the car for themselves they would choose manual but if the car was imported by a dealer then they would take what came in.. Also the SC was produced for the US market as well as the JDM so even that fact is wrong.

shame its not been looked after better if it is a genuine sc. Make a good engine donor.

Back up for sale, obviously the final bidder decided £1700 was too much :-)
