Hi,
Although Ive had my Mk1 for a while Ive not been on the forum before so thought it would be good to say hello as its getting near the road again and Im sure some questions will arise soon.
My car is an E plate with sunroof and Pirelli style alloys and plenty of rot :cool:
When I got it, with a new set of tyres and a working pop up headlamp I managed to put an MOT on it and ran it for a year, so I used it all the time and even on a track day

but the next one failed on corrosion, and when I finally got round to looking at it, it turned out to be quite alot worse than I expected

A bodged insurance job years ago left the b post pushed in and the drivers door bent to match the inch + of filler, then lots of water got in and EVERYTHING rusted.
Ive also added Spax shocks and very slight lowering springs, a Magnex back box and have hidden better speakers in the OE holes, and added central locking and an immobiliser.
It still needs the passenger side rear arch and some rust above the windscreen sorting but I think I could get an MOT on it now.
Anyway, Im in Kent and try to get to a few shows so might manage to meet up in real life at some point!
