Well done Tom, great news :-)

Glad to see you left the carport information in there, I am guessing it will be the most read article :-)

I'm glad you have them back, a couple of things worth mentioning.
I notice that the ECU codes article doesn't include the UK N/A codes only the American ones, I have the proper UK codes if you want them ?

I have copies of all the articles bar the original 101 which was "Gearbox Rebuild" did you manage to recover that one ?

blast from the past!

Brings back memories of having to email Richard Morgan when you had a car/part to sell and then a month or so later, he's put it in the Classifieds..

Hi Jimi,

Yeh, those codes would be great if you have them! :)

The 101 article didn't go to an article about the gearbox rebuild, but was a duplicate url for the rear 3/4 panels. Not sure if the original file can be scoured from other dates on the Internet archive?

That was before my time with Mk1's, but it's funny to think of how the Internet used to be.

Here's a link to an article (including UK codes) that I wrote for my website http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/jimilawson/Various/ECU%20Codes.html Your quite welcome to copy it and host it along with the Tech articles or I can sent you the html and image files if you prefer.

The original 101 was a collection of photographs detailing a gearbox strip and rebuild, unfortunately the images appear to be lost, I think I've checked every date that the Wayback machine has crawled the old site but the images always seem to be missing. :(

Tom,

This might be down to something I am doing but when using Firefox to view the technical articles it doesn't show the pictures. This is the same on both my tablet and on my desktop machine. I don't have a problem with the other browsers I have installed. Any ideas?

It's to do with the html syntax ie this is the way it is http://www.mr2mk1club.com/old/repairsp45_files\tools.jpg, which works in Chrome but not Firefox. It should really be http://www.mr2mk1club.com/old/repairsp45_files/tools.jpg which works in both

Nice spot Jimi. I should be able to mass update all html tags to correct them. I'll add it to my list! Inheriting other people's code is always fun! :)

Cheers,
Tom
