100% Snap!
We need to be careful not to get into a bid war with each other.
I caught a look of your white MR2 was at the Tatton.
It's one of my favourite cars. :)

Hmm. I'm also on the look-out for the same as it turns out that everyone who told me a Janspeed would be too loud was right! :(

I know someone who had one for sale in North Wales, breaking his whole car. Think he was looking for £220. I will try and find out if he still has it this weekend.
Good to see some Mancunians on the site!! :)

Can you stil buy a Magnex new? I hunted through the web for hours and found about 10 stores selling Mongooses but none selling Magnex.

Thanks Phaeton and Scott, I was looking for a used one but now think a new one is the way to go. A company called Venom Motorsport in Ribchester (PR3 3YE ph 01254 820005) sell a new full Magnex system for the MR2 mk1 for £391.16 inc VAT. I phoned them but it would be around 3 weeks to get one in.

I have a Magnex exhaust off my mk1, surplus to requirements due to a 2gr-fe engine being fitted. It has about 100 miles use on it due to me laying up my car soon after fitting it. Will try to get photos tomorrow if anyone is interested.
Based in Rugby/Coventry but can easily get to Manchester City centre for work purposes.

You must have had the last one off the shelf. I'm waiting 7 weeks for mine from the same retailer although there seems to have been a mistake with the order as it should normally take 3-4 weeks. Every time I patch up a hole with Gun Gum the weak spot is transfered and I end up with a hole somewhere else.

Wow that's a long time to wait. Have you spoken to the sales team at larkspeed ?

They iniitially said 3 weeks so I patiently waited and then called them after 3 weeks and they said there had been a problem and it would now take another 3-4 weeks. So the current eta is June the 25th.
How would you describe your Mongoose exhaust in respect of Power, Noise and looks?

I have the Magnex Stuart. If you want to come and see it and take it for a drive feel free.
It looks great and sounds brilliant. Mine is also fitted with the very rare OBX 4 branch stainless manifold. The whole system deffinitely improved responsivenes over the standard that was on it. I am not sure how much of that is down to the manifold.

I sure would like to accept your offer of test driving your Magnex with OBX manifold :D Would be interesting to compare the difference to my oem exhaust, that's now on it's last legs.

The Mongoose finally arrived after 3 months. The order confirmation is dated the 30th of Apr and the parcel states dispatched on the 31st of Jul from Collins Performance Engineering.
They have a web page for the MK1: http://www.collinsperformance.com/performance-package-deals-toyota-mr2-mk1/

Has anybody fitted a Mongoose before. Should I replace gaskets and are any other accessories required? (It came with 1x hanger included)
