help - setting the timing

Hi, I hope this is okay to put on here as its for my brother who is not internet savvy. His mk1 is running badly. He think its down to the timing. But could be a number of things. Is anyone local who can come and have a look and possibly set the timing on the car.

He is located in Ashton Under Lyne.

You will be treated like kings or queens with free flowing drinks (non alcoholic) and food (Indian food). He is also happy to pay cash
