245524562457My car is up for sale, first to members, then on ebay with a proper reserve price in a couple of weeks. I'm not desperate to sell as I am still loving the car and will happily keep it for another summer, but will do for the right price, simply to fund my next fun car! I'm looking for £2400 ovno.
I bought it from a committee member of the club who had just had it restored. It received new rear arches, work to the sills and a respray.
He was an engineer and had carried out an engine rebuild, stripping it and rebuilding with new bearing, water pump, clutch, timing betls etc. It also has the 5th gear modification for more relaxed cruising. See the restoration thread here: http://www.mr2mk1club.com/showthread.php?13391-light-restoration-on-bill-hulme-car
The shocks were replaced about 4 years ago and the suspension fully poly bushed. The t-bar rubbers and seals have been replaced and the car has no leaks.
It has twin pot calipers on the front with grooved discs. The rear has mr2 mk2 bigger calipers.
It's got lovely lightweight BSA Racing 15 x 7 alloys (or black Lenso alloys if you prefer!) and a growly stainless steel exhaust, which isn't too loud!
I've renewed the interior with fantastic red/black seats, new mats, new gear gaiter and leather knob, and a new windscreen.
I've covered over 7000 miles without any problems at all. The car has been 100% reliable and attended club runs, Tatton and Silverstone.
The bodywork and paint is in great condition. I suggest you come and view the car in Leeds to check it out to your satisfaction.
The car has just been professionally serviced, MOT'd (to January 2016) and waxoiled.
The alarm immobiliser also centrally locks the car.
Whoever buys this car won't be disappointed!24462448244924502447
