Excellent stuff guys, if there are going to be lots of us going might be a good idea and see if we can get a decent dedicated area within the middle of the show.

Tom - have we got any promo material in the club, like flags etc?

Stuart Goodacre (omasum22) is the LAO for that area, but I don't think he has any flags etc.

If I do come, I can bring one with me! :D

Do you know if any attendees camp over the night before Jon? or failing that, if there's any cheap and friendly B&B's locally? It's a fair trek from Sheffield!

Most of the cars are local I assume and do not camp, but can check.
Should be lots of B&Bs nearby the show is only a few miles from Bury St Edmunds

There were 22 club stands last year, just trying to think back, the most cars on any one club stand was about 10.

Was just thinking about this today, will chase this week!

Just had word from the organisers that they are happy if we book in as a group and not individually, so I can sort this out.

Will just need info from people with cars, registrations, age, any interesting history etc, for the show programme, which we can do next month.

The max number of cars we can have on the stand is 12 and I think we have 8 including me booked in already, so 4 spaces left.

Tom if you could confirm if we are taking anything that might take up extra space, club big flags etc.

There is a non compulsory donation of £10.00 per car that's asked for, which goes to St Nicholas Hospice Care, a very worthy charity. So I will pay for the final number in the group and people can pay me back on the day if they wish.

They have requested that we have setup by 1000am with first arrivals starting at 0700, suggest we meet up beforehand and all go in together.

For Stuart and anybody else who might want to come at the last minute, below is the PM email I sent out yesterday about the show.

Suggest we meet up in Bury St Edmunds before we go in, I can then hand you your passes.

The car park, with an entrance opposite the Fire Station on Parkway would be best, try IP33 1TZ on your sat nav if you cannot find it.
If you look at Google maps the car park is located between parkway and St Andrews Street North, the entrance is from Parkway though, not St Andrews Street.

Event starts at 1100 am, but we need to get there much earlier, as we should have a stand towards the middle of the car display area, so we need to get there early.
If we can meet in the car park at 0900 to leave at 0920, the journey to the show should only take 5 minutes.
The caterers, get there early, so you can get a coffee and breakfast if you want.
postcode if we get split up is IP31 1SL

Got back about fifteen minutes ago after dropping the other Tom off.

Great show and even better weather! Good meeting some new faces and seeing some different cars. Well worth the 360 mile round trip.

I'll post up the pictures from my camera tomorrow hopefully, as I now have to prepare for a business trip, with a taxi collecting me at 5.15am! :( For now, here is a snap from my phone.

The 1981 Metro 1300 automatic below, belongs to a customer, he is minted has a new Jag XJ and big house, but he keeps the metro and uses it at weekend over the summer so his wife cannot take over his space in the garage!
It's only done 15,000 miles and that model of metro is getting very rare, still not worth very much though, totally original, no painting, welding etc.

Floating around somewher in the uk are two mr2s better than that. One is a late tbar in white with about 4000 miles! That sold about 18 months ago for only 7 or 8k!!
There is also a 1985 metallic sky blue like mine with about 15k mikes on it!
