Think this has been for sale on eBay before.
Looks good apart from lack of stickers and the front number plate is in the wrong place and looks a little odd, or is that just me?

;) Ooops, just noticed it's a moon roof not a T-bar !
Looks like it's been resprayed, it has no decals, no side bump strips, the seals around the front bumper and side skirts are either missing or sprayed over, front numberplate is in the wrong place, no mud flaps, centre console trim is incorrectly fitted and the wheels are incorrectly finished.
Unusually for such a late car it doesn't have a leather interior or colour coded mirrors and handles.
Other than that it's still a nice looking car, but the body etc would need close scrutiny. Depending on condition and price it could be a good buy.

When did the late cars start to have colour coded mirrors and door handles on?

I think it was from Aug 88 onwards but I'm not sure if it was just an option or if it was standard

my T bar was registered october 89 and has black wing mirrors - just as it came out the factory.

Yes but when was it built ? the one in the ad is 1990, but I'll guarantee it wasn't built in 1990, the last MK1's were built Dec 1989 ;)

Interesting as all '89 USDM MKI's came with color coded mirrors and door handles (except maybe the rare stripper version, but then several other items were different on them as well), as did all jdm MKI's, but they also got the retracting mirrors in '89.
