Hi all, THE STARTING POINT IS ( THE TRAVEL INN CHESTER EAST SEVICES J14 M56 CH2 4QZ )
You can all fill up with petrol here, before starting the day out.The start time is 9.00 am so please be on time we will be doing 175 to 200 miles
This run is organized by bill and Gary and consists of the best coastal and mountain roads north wales has to offer , brilliant day out not to be missed .
dinner will be at the picturesque coastal town criccieth where you can have dinner at the local cafes or bring your own food .


AS ON ANY RUN OUT THE MAXIUM NUMBER IS 12 CARS.

Bizarrely ( as i live so far south) I may be able to make this! It would be my first club run :-)

I am having to be in Wrexham once a week on business so i may be able to time it such that i can come. My biggest concern would be that its a long drive for a car i have only travelled in about 600 miles in two years!

I'm sorry I can't get after all so take me and Martin back off the list. Sister in law and her husband coming up from Maidstone for long weekend and I am expected to be around to entertain them. So hopefully sTuArT and Hetty can go !

Not long now :thumbup:. To members attending this run for the first time make sure you breaks and tyres are good as there are some fast parts on the run and with bill leading we don't hang about :lol:.

That's what its all about, using the mk1 that it was made for, good twisty roads, Not for the Sunday drivers looking at the scenery, we will be doing 200 miles in Wales at a fair pace, We will leave at 9.00 am prompt, So get to the services early or you will be left behind we will not be waiting for members that arrive late.

Bled the brakes and car sailed through its mot. It's only driven a couple of thousand miles in the last year. Looking forward to my first Wales run next weekend :-)

Unfortunately, it looks like I can not make it, even though the body shop had 2 full weeks to sort out some bits for me, it's still in pieces and parts still to be prepped painted etc[emoji30]

Might not be able to make this now. I've got a trapped nerve in my neck/shoulder/back or wherever it is. All I know is when I drive, I use lots of words not suitable for kids at a very high volume! If someone wants my space then just say and I'll step out, but if not, can I text Bill Sunday morning if I can't make it?

Its been snowing in Buxton as well just as i started washing the car . i treated the car to new struts , shocks , lower springs and new brakes on Friday and laser track the car today . I've been for a test run on a few twisty roads and it handles fabulous . looking forward to the run see you all tomorrow . :+:

Great run today enjoyed it , nice meet martin and Stuart top lads . I had a conversion today were i said i wouldn't do another mk1 arrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it didn't last long . When i got home a mate of mine had been round and left a message he had picked up a mk1 and would i want it . i looked at it tonight its got 72000 mile on the clock been in a barn for 6 year . It wants work on arches but is solid and with a full magnex system fitted a bargain . Price £150 pound delivered :smile:. couldn't resist . now to tell my lovely:shifty: wife ps its a red t bar

Just got home (went to say hello to my Dad on the way back). What a great day - fantastic weather, great roads and good company!

Can't wait to do it all again very soon - roll on the Peak District run!

No I didnt Jonathan. Believe it or not.....the car has not progressed at all.for about 6 weeks...long story...ill tell you over a beer one day.
