Rusty

I have never really joined and been on a chat forum before, however I am so excited about getting Rusty.. my 1986 "Gold Edition" MK1 back on the road!! I live in Hilly, Curvy, East Tennessee
Rusty has been laid up a while. The story (short version)..... I got the engine rebuilt and that means a "good ole boy" took my engine apart put rings on the pistons and put it back together. It took about a year and a half while the car sit... long enough for the gas tank to rust horribly. I drove Rusty home put some gas in em and it never started again. I took it to some other good ole boys and Rusty sat for another 2 years until this January. They determined the fuel system was shot and we have a new filler neck, tank, denso pump, and filter affixed. Today I cleaned the injectors out with kerosene, toothpick, and compressed air. I drove the FOOL out of Rusty today and it needs everything you might expect after sitting for 3-4 years.. tires, shocks, and brakes. I have my therapy car back! My mechanic "Rex" was actually more excited than I was... if you can believe it :p!
I will post pictures as soon as i learn how!
