A great day round the Peak District today with Gary. Don't forget to get your name down for the next North West run.

Just over a week to go and numbers are a bit thin on the ground so it is still not too late to sign up to a great run out.

I would like to join in but being on the edge of the pennines already ( Consett ) I would like to meet up somewhere en route , If the Hartside cafe is en route this would be ideal for me as its 38 miles away then I could leave the group somewhere later near Hexham, this is the best I can do as doing the whole thing would be silly in terms of miles, time and distance, will need approx times of rendevous....

The route is Tebay, Brough, Middleton In Teesdale, lunch in Hexham, Alston, Hartside, Tebay.
If you let me know where you want to it in I can work out the times.

Well that was a corker! I must admit that I was tempted to just go back to sleep when the alarm went off.
There were some great bits of driving and the majority of the traffic was kind to us. We just had to be careful of the sheep!
Thanks for leading us Graham, even when the roads were closed!

Martin joined us for his first run. His car looks immaculate. He has promised to come on the Yorkshire run too! ;)

The only problem we had all day was that Dean's car decided it needed to lose a bit more weight! A delicate kicking was required to effect the repair.

Saved the video of coming down Hartside bank which I really enjoyed following Graham, felt a bit naughty even though we probably didnt hit 60 for more than a couple of seconds, may put it on youtube , ill post a link, my camera had 20GB of SOS (saves bumps in road etc or heavy breaking)videos which only gave me 12GB to choose from, cheers for today, a bit further and faster than I was expecting but good fun I just dont feel safe in the MR2 after 60mph, getting awld and nervous....

Great you could make it today and apparently the only bit above 60 was Charnock Richard to Burton Services so I am told!

I arrived late at Charnock Richard due to my sat-nav taking me to the charming village of Charnock Richard. As I pulled into the services I caught a glimpse of Dean's car leaving the services. "That's fine", I thought, "I'll just put my foot down and catch them up". That was the fastest I have ever been in this car. If my speedo is to be believed* I was doing 120 to catch them up.
*My speedo is not to be believed officer.
