Took the MR2 on its las spin for a few months. Tax expired at end of December so putting it off the road until April to get a few jobs done. Here's a few pics taken this morn. Just need to get some stripes from Crazylegs

Nice one Tim, love the Irish plates.
Just wanted to pass a question by you, do you have anyone in Ireland who organises MK1 Club events as there seems to be quite a few members who live in Ireland. If there are enough members you might have a case to set up a region.
Happy motoring

Hi Tim,
where abouts in Kerry are you? I'm from Adare, Co.Limerick...just wondered if you where close?
Am living outside Cardiff now but one of my Mk1's is back in Ireland for some rear arch (surprisingly!) work with my brother-in-law 8-)
I'll hopefully be collecting her by March/April...maybe meet up for a Guinness? ;) Alternatively, I'll be in Thomond Park for the Sale game! Cmon Munster!!!!
Cheers
Mark
ps: nice car, but are those plates legal? :?

I'm in Tralee. Not too far from Adare. This car was originally in London & was owned by a guy from Clare. I have only come across 1 other MK1 MR2 owner. He's on the IMOC forum, Ligerton, but I think he's selling his MR2.
As far as I know the plates are legal. Ireland went over to the Euro style plates around 1990 AFAIK. I just passed the NCT (MOT) in September and there was no mention of the plates.
Looking for a spare set of MK1A rear subframes if anyone has them lying around.

Nice 1 Tim,
as a kid I used to go to Tralee every year for "the Rose" as my old man had a business there & was obvioulsy pretty busy at that time...great craic!!
Well, if you're ever coming over here with the mk1 give us a shout, you're more than welcome to drop in!
I'm only 5mins from the M4 so 'tis on the way from Pembroke/Fishguard!! ;)

Great site. Just paid my sub. Well done to all. Just had one problem registering - no postal code in Ireland so had to invent one as you can't register without one.
Mark, thanks for the invite. Flew to Jae this year as it's a fair journey from Tralee.
