Hi Pete, i think this area should be updated by the area organisers otherwise it gets confusing about who's posting what & when if you see what i mean, will get stinky/steve/ Alan on here to sort this in the next day or two, Jinx
pistol pete
6th January 2009, 11:30 AM
okay its just sometimes people like to take some iniciative and create there own meets
sure thats what this area is for
cos i am sure that organisers will not want every single meet put through them... its a peoples club.. just my thoughts......
and the area organisers asked me to sort this run out as i always have
also i thought it was a forum where you post what you want.. otherwise you might find people go off to imoc

6th January 2009, 10:54 PM
I wasnt being funny Pete, so please dont take offence, im just reiterating what the original idea was as i understood it, it was that the local area organisers update the local area forums as per the old site & if anyone had ideas for runs etc for them to contact the relevant organisers in that area so that they could post it here, if this concept has changed or been modified & anyone wants to put me right on this im all ears, cheers, Jinxy

Well as the National Events Co-ordinator, it's news to me what this section was for
I for one am quite happy for people to advertise (not literally) on their own areas and if those people are willing to help and offer their services then I'm all for that.
One job less for area organisers to worry about, surely.
Pete, would have actually put in my calendar but wasn't sure it was happening.

Yep either way Pete, Debs i cant see a problem, i really wasnt trying to awkward guys, more mindful of the fact that Max is beavering on in the background & if this part of the forum being used a different way that originally proposed then he would have yet more work to do behind the scenes, but as no one has tried to stop you from posting....except me  then feel free to post any S.E stuff in here  8-) i am cooler today guys... honest !.... for now anyway  , Jinx

I thought this was meant to be a run for April time :shifty: depending on when the Scotland trip is finished is dependant on wheather we go now :wtf: :( , Jinx
pistol pete
27th January 2009, 04:18 PM
yeah there is that one in april
but that is more aof a lerusrly drive just for mk1's
this one is the general mr2 run which i have run for many years (except last year)
Tony Jinxy Froude
27th January 2009, 04:34 PM
Aha, i see now :+: , yep i think this is the one that clashes with the Scotland run in which case we cant make the late run, may be able to do the early one though :+: , Jinx

Yes, I think we're coming.
Alan, we'll be coming on M25, then M26, then M20 route. Perhaps you can suggest a meeting point/time for us and anyone else coming from that direction?
BTW can Pete clarify? Does it end up at the Pilot Inn or down at Rye Harbour? Think we've had runs finishing at both over the years.
