Facebook Connect / OpenID

Just wondered on a tangent if you chaps had any plans or thoughts about adding Facebook Connect type logins / integration to the site.

I help out with an SMF board (just a general purpose / local community one) & have been looking into the Facebook Connect thing as a means of promotion, must admit though, it looks pretty difficult as of yet. And not sure if it's worth it. Don't know if there's any readymade stuff available for phpBB..

Thanks for the heads-up... I hadn't heard about Facebook Connect.
I've had a quick look and can't see any code for phpBB. I'll have a look at it when I have a few minutes. It looks pretty good & powerful. :+:

I don't really understand it fully but it looks like Facebook are angling after a position as the web's default / main / biggest / most popular identity provider, loosely under a sort of OpenID-based idea? Fighting against the ubiquitous Google Account?
