Evening
I think it is time to pass on my 1988, 3 owner, 27k mile FTSH, SuperRed Mk1b.
The car has had several thousand pounds spent on new parts - powder coating suspension components, stainless exhaust, t-bar seals etc.
Not a spot of rust, the cloth interior looks like new. K&N filter, but all of the original breather system included.
The MOE spoiler has a high level brake light, but the original spoiler is included.

Hi
MOT and Tax - both to 1st April. :? No advisories on the last (or any?) MOT.
Large file of receipts.
Price - I know this isn't much help, but I'm not too sure?!
I'm not too desparate to sell, but if you want to view the car and make an offer.
I am ready to let it go....!
I have seen higher mileage cars go for £4500, but mileage is less of the issue than condition -
there is no rust!
It is clean underneath;

I am the third owner and have known each of the previous two.
It has a full Toyota service history, I had a minor service done a couple of months ago by Listers Toyota, Lincoln.
27k miles, original stereo (which works, in fact everything works as it should - aerial, the lot.).
The non-original items are an extra pair of small speakers set into the bulkhead behind the seats,
put there by the previous owner and which I never got round to removing to make it "standard".
It has a Toyota spoiler with high level brakelight, I have the original spoiler and that will come
with the car.
The previous owner fitted a K&N kit (which I have to admit, I do like the sound of when it gets
its "second breath") and a stainless exhaust. All of the original breather pipes are included.
It is one of the earlier Mk1b T-Bars in that it has cloth rather than leather -
this is my third Mk1 and I much prefer the cloth.
I have only used the car in the dry and it lives in a carpeted garage!

I had a new windscreen fitted a year ago due to me getting the paint
along the header-rail re-done, there was a chip that had not been dealt
with properly before I bought the car, so got the paint there sorted and
a new screen at the same time.
I fitted the "sidelight" mod - where the headlights don't come up when you
put the sidelights on - but this can be turned of by way of toggle switch on
the control box. I generally prefer the standard cars, but the high level
brake light, sidelight mod and K&N filter are the 3 modifications I would recommend!
I am a fan of the Mk1 (as I said, this is my third), but it is gathering dust in
the garage and my wife wants to up-grade her car...!
The car can be viewed in Lincoln.

I think I'm in love, sshhhh don't tell the wife.
Got to say that looks one of the nicest, original examples of a MK1 that I've seen for a long time and I've been looking at these for 16 years :+:

I guess I should ask - what is the right sort of price for my car?
I'm not that precious about getting top dollar, and the opinions here would be appreciated.
If it doesn't go, after a while I will put it on ebay.
Cheers!

hi will you take £2000 cash for it  only joking ,the car looks fantastic and will sell no problem , i would be looking for top money for the car if i was selling it as its rare in this condition and super low mileage . has for ebay i don't think you would get the best price for it as most people are looking for bargains on there ,but it does get alot of buyers looking for mk1 mr2 so you might drop lucky .I would also try classic car sites to advertise your car , the price i would put it up for would be £6500 at least as there a plenty of people out there looking to add to their classic car collection and money is no object .the cars i have sold have been in very good clean condition and sold in less than 48 hours and i didn't move on asking price , there are alot of people looking for the mk1 are a prepared to pay the price to get a excellent example .but ask your self if you sell it can you replace it in the years to come , i think not

Thanks for your kind comments!
I have never entered the car into a car show or similar, so won't describe it as "concours" (because I don't know what I would be comparing it with?!).
I have put it on car & classic > http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C120025/
And a video on youtube > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5r9-fmNuYbU
