EDIT: NOW SOLD
For sale is my Mk1b sunroof model. She was built in 1989, and has covered just over 120,300 miles. MOT until September, taxed until the end of March.
The car has been my daily driver for just over 2 years (bought from a member on IMOC), and the time has come for me to move on to something more modern. I've had such an enjoyable two years and 14k miles of motoring, and I'm not looking forward to having to sell!
I'll start with the bad bits...
I didn't receive any service history with the car, but I've kept all receipts and MOT certificates during my ownership.
The nearside rear arch is starting to bubble, but it's not too bad and hasn't really broken through the paint yet.
Rest of the bodywork is pretty much rust free, but does have the odd scuff here and there, as does any 20 year old car no doubt. As with all old red paint, certain areas are starting to fade.
The nearside front wing has something funky going on under the surface of the lacquer, but it's purely cosmetic. Rest of the wing is in reasonable condition.
Now for the good parts!
This chassis is solid. I have loads of pictures of a resto the previous owner has done, where he swapped all the good panels from a donor car as this car is so solid underneath. I've seen many of the horror stories and pictures of things people find lurking begind sideskirts and pieces of trim, but there's nothing of the sort on this car.
Mechanically, everything seems in order. No gear pop out, and I changed the clutch in the last quarter of 2009 year. It has a manual choke system fitted, based on Paul Wood's kit. Tyres have plenty of tread remaining. I do have 4 original pepperpot wheels, they're without tyres and have been sandblasted but not painted.
The interior is in good condition, with no rips or tears to any of the carpet or seat fabric. I'm not a smoker, and there is no evidence of any previous owner's smoking in the car.
Other items worth a mention are...
Thatcham cat 2 Immobiliser with installation certificate
Remote central locking, with 2 fobs (installed by myself)
Supercharger rear light cluster
Raybrig headlamps (I know these are hard to get hold of now)
CD/MP3 head unit with a usb slot on the front
Original toolkit and jack, with full size pepperpot spare
New rear discs/pads and one calliper to get through the MOT in 2008

I'll try and get some more pics up at the weekend.
I'm after £1,000 for her, as this is a very solid car underneath. I'm happy for any viewers to come along and have a proper poke around underneath and in the usual rust spots.
Car is located in Nantwich, Cheshire. Please PM me for details and a contact number.
