FOR SALE
1988 White non t-bar MR2
148k miles. MOT till October. Taxed until end of March. I've been driving it 4 months and using it every day and it hasnt skipped a beat!
In october it had...
new sills both sides, new brake discs front and back and new pads on the front. Oil and filter change too.
There is a little rust on the rear o/s arch but none on the near side as i replaced it with a fibreglass section so no rust will ever return there! Pictures of that are in the bodywork section. There is no rust on the front arches.
The only mechanical thing that is more of a nuisance than a problem is 2nd gear crunches at high revs and when changing down. When driven normally though it doesnt crunch. Just a worn sync probably.
Other than that mecahnically it is faultless.
The interior is pretty tidy with standard everything! Just a little wear on the steering wheel and a couple of scratches here and there. Littel niggles: the rear screen heater doesnt work, the clock has a mind of its own and the aerial reception could be better but everything else works (mirrors, windows, lights etc). There is also some wind noise from the driver side window which is noticable at +50mph. I think this is due to the rubber sill down the a-pillar but its never bothered me so I didnt do anything about it.
