hello people,
Just picked up my first mk1 on saturday, managed to get it back from wales to cornwall, despite one rear brake nearly catching alight, and the other not working at all!
And also the huge weight of all the filler in the wings slowing the car down, engine and gearbox didnt miss a beat though.

I intend to get the car sorted for doing a bit of novice sprinting/hill-climbing next year, so any advice appeciated, seems like a nice friendly forum with lots of good info :+:

have you heard of the toyota sprint series?
there are a few mk1 competing in that :+:

LOL @ the brakes issue. sounds like a siezed calliper etc.(not unusual) do a search on the mechanical section for previous topics covering this, and brake pad selection etc etc.

i have done the first year of the toyota sprint series 2008 and loads of trackdays so may be of help if you are stuck
