Intrested in buying an MR2

Hi im very interested in buying an MR2 and am currently looking at 2 one which is owned by a family friend but has no Mot or tax and is in need of brakes and a little bit of rust repair on just above the rear arches

or another Mr2 which i have only seen pictures of over the internet it has alot high millage about 186,000 miles would you advise against getting the one with the higher millage although it from a garage and comes with an MOT and Tax for 3 months its currently priced for £995 is this a good price for a car like this

hi and welcome
always difficult to advise on buying a car from just pics, but the one in the ad. is a 1B car with a 1A front bumper also drivers side headlamp area looks a bit wrong so suspect some frontal impact damage
you need to view as many cars as you can to judge whats good and whats just wrong
