hi guys i currently drive a 300zx and want to downsize and been offered a mk1 now i have had an mk2 in the past and loved it. A friend of mine had a 300... very very nice car but he blew the turbos and gearbox withing a matter of weeks!
That particular MR2 looks pretty good. Just check all along the sills, arches, suspension mounting points. That white-over-gold colour scheme is very rare if original, but I think it was only specified on the earlier models, suggesting it's been resprayed at some point. Nothing bad in itself, just make sure there's metal underneath rather than filler :lol:
Mechanically they're very solid, just check for the usual really.... smokey engines etc, the 4a-ge is a very strong engine so should't give too much trouble. Also check for a noisy alternator.
