Have been asked to advertise this show, http://www.japbash.com/index.html
by an MR2 Drivers Club member :silent: , really looks like a cracking show, with lots more to boot and at £5 per person a bargain in my eyes :+: .
Feel free to ask any questions etc, I am thinking of going but really don't want to be on me own   could even be persuaded to bring me cooking equipment ;)

Yes, I'm going. Looks a good deal. £5 entrance (pay on door) gets you into show, entry into vintage/classic collection and camping. Or £10 entrance covers everyone in one car. They're providing toilets and cafe on site for breakfast! Reckon it's early enough in September for decent weather.

Heard its starts at 12.00noon ...and car clubs are arriving about 11.00am? If so, time to set up the tent in the morning and trip out for more beers if stock looks dangerously low :D

Just getting myself organised for this show, blimey how much camping stuff do I need for 1 night
Have sent a email to Richard asking a few questions, like time of arrival etc., once known I can then work out what time we can all meet up and make our way down to the show, reckon the 1st place to meet could be the Hilton Hotel at the Dartford Tunnel Junction, then round to Clackets Lane Services, between J5 and 6, as we need to exit at J6 for A22, this could be a good place to meet :+:

Hi All
Right I am planning to leave my house at 9.00AM (For those that know me, could be interesting as 1) Not renound for my time-keeping and 2) Don't do mornings!!!  )
So plan to be at The Hilton Hotel entrance at 9.30 (literally the junction as you exit the tolls, so need to be over on the left hand side!!!) Quick get-away to the meet at Clacket Lane Services (between J5 and 6) for aound 10.15, to leave by 10.30, should get us to the show by 11.30 :+: :+:
My mobile if needed is 0796 3082860
Will also bring the single burner so we can have tea & coffee on the go
See you Saturday 8-)

Hi all,
Back from holiday today so catching up on posts on past week on this.
I too have had serious cold and been a bit disabled last few days. Completely blocked up for days :( Should be fine for Saturday :D Coming with my son Sam ...and camping.
Clackets meeting ideal for me and I'll be there. Me ...white Probe
Know Driver Club Richard doesn't do this Forum but he's from Eastbourne so expect he'll meet at venue.
Have emailed Debs our food order
Looking forward to seeing Mark 1 Club members again. Wasn't sure if supposed to be at venue say 11.00am instead of 11.30am ...but I'll go along with whatever Debs arranges.

Hi Debs,
I'll meet you at Clackets.
Do you know what route we are taking to Bentley museum? We can go off M25 at J6 and down A22 through E Grindstead and Uckfield then down A26 to Lewes. However, A22 is all single lane roads plus E Grinstead will be very busy on a Saturday. Might be better to come off M25 at J7, Down M23 and A23 then along A27. Might be a bit longer but much quicker! We could also pick up Squirrel at Pease pottage services on M23 on the way.
What does anyone else think?

Yes agree, Alan's M23 option not bad idea. If so, I'd also meet you at Pease Pottage.
If you meet at Clackets then go off at J6 down A22 then anyone coming from west on M25 (like me) has to go on to J5 then double back on M25 in order to get on the westbound side of Clackets. Which is bit of a drag :)
So appreciate post on what final decision is and also if Clackets meet ...are we talking eastbound or westbound carriageway.
Thanks for confirming other bits Debs.

So reckon M23 is the better option, so times are now
Pick Up 1 at Hilton Hotel, Dartford 9.15 leave 9.20
Debs
Pick Up 2 at Clacketts Lane 9.50 leave 10.00
Pick Up 3 at Pease Pottage 10.30 leave 10.45
Final destination should be around 11.30
Could we all please state where we are meeting each other, so we are not hanging around for too long
