Hi all,
The welding on my car needed to pass the MOT is beyond my abilities (no MIG, no experience) so I'm looking to sell up. The mechanical stuff needed for the MOT I’ve done, rear brake callipers refurbished and rear hubs replaced to do the bearings.
It’s a red T-Bar ’89 on a G, its only done 103k and the engine runs great. Its probably only done 2500 since fitting a new cambelt and full engine service. To be honest it would be perfectly usable if the three small bits of welding were done.
But as the bodywork isn’t in a great state cosmetically, I reckon it may end up going for spares. However, to get it back on the road the only points for MOT are on the lower surface of the front chassis legs on either side of the radiator and on the inner side of the right rear arch at the bottom.
I don’t want to break it myself as I’m working long hours at the moment, but know what a good running engine is worth on its own.
I’ll try to post a few pictures later.
Oh, and it got three spoke alloys on at the moment (divisive I know, maybe not in the 80’s) with practically brand new tyres. But I’ve got a good set of original wheels with variable tyres sat in the garage.
