Hi All,
My name's Nick from Mirfield in West Yorks and I'm the new owner of the Mica Blue T-Bar recently sold on this forum by Gary (Mk1 Dal) and formerly owned by another forum member Kate.
I already own a Mk1 T-Bar which has been my daily driver for 2 years and I was so smitten with it that I wanted a better example to take on and enjoy. Hopefully I've got that now with this car.
Best wishes to all and I'll post more as time goes on. Will try to make it to an event or two as well.
Cheers, Nick

Hello,
Am at work so just a very quick reply. Welcome to the club and hope you enjoy joining us all. Be warned if I ever see you at an event, I may stroke 'your' car.
If you need to know any history about it, let me know.

Thanks very much for that Kate! Rest assured it'll be well looked after. As I say, more posts to come when I get better acquainted with the car. Can't do anything at the moment as the garage door fell off it's runners last night so is locked shut with my old T-Bar inside! It's all a bit "Christine"!!

That made me laugh out loud.
Your new car was once featured as Miss April in the 2009 club calendar. I obviously have LOADS of photos of it so will get some organised for you and share it's history. Quick synopsis:
I had a white T-bar in 1991 for 3 years. Roll on 15 years and decide to get another but wanted the dark mica blue. Sent my dad round looking at loads until we found this one in Suffolk. Went up, looked at it and bought it. Fell in love big time.
When Gary bought it to transform it, I cried, well actually sobbed, for 20 minutes. And then after another 20 minutes of calming down, started sobbing again. Such a big girl's blouse. Now need to bond with my new car.
If you search my posts you will see the agonising decision I made under the heading "Oh no, what have I agreed to".

Well it's nice to know I'm carrying on a good tradition of TLC. I know what it's like when a car you love gets to need more work than you can do/ afford etc.. I'm very respectful of the skills of people like Gary, 'cause they're beyond my abilities for sure.
And yeah, I'd be very grateful for any futher info on the car's history and photo's etc. Thanks very much for that.
